Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey folks, in my 2001 S I have the upgraded sound system which has the AMP in the frunk. On most amps the have a few dials to change the volume output and gain etc... I was wondering if the Porsche amp has these settings and pulling the amp out to increase these settings to get more power/volume out of the speakers ?

POST 2Original post

No built-in adjustments, but if you're handy with electrics... http://986forum.com/forums/diy-project-guides/58847-diy-haes-4-channel-amp-gain-boost-mod.html

YIKES... yeah that mod is beyond my efforts! lol.. I'll lose my hearing before I finish that mod on my own... haha

POST 4Original post

the amp market is a buyers market.....huge number of options that work well and are reasonably priced. I would not personally be interested in spending lots of money for a Porsche amp.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was hoping to replace the Porsche amp with aftermarket amp to get more power out of the speakers...
