Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, I've another question if you don't mind... I've just been out washing the crud off the car and noticed that the gap between the wheel and wheel arch on the rear nearside is much shallower than on the offside. Near side is about 1 inch compared with 2 & 1/2 inches on the offside. My drive is relatively level but there may be a bit of slope but the difference in gaps surprised me. Should I be concerned? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Turn the car around and repeat the measurements. If it doesn't change sides if the car I would investigate. MC

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks MC Why didn't I think of that! Paul

POST 4Original post

Bet your handbrake works better on one side than the other

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks MC - switching the car round makes me think it may not be an issue. But I've another problem now - someone ran into the back of me last night whilst I was slowing for a speed hump. He saw the traffic lights ahead turn green, sped up and whacked me! What a pain - need to get the damage assessed.
