Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Posting this goes against every bit of forum etiquette I've acquired over the years but here I go. Let me start by saying after about 8 hours of searching, every write up I find seems to differ from what I'm looking at. Vehicle is 07 987 CS 6MT with Bose package. I have Pioneer AVH 4200NEX with nav.tv MOST hur to put in. Disassembly was an absolute breeze and I flew threw many of the new connections (fiber ops, RC, ect.) But things abruptly halted upon trying to connect the CAN hi and Low. Each diagram I found showed a plug with a thick (16?) Brown and a red/brown. That same exact plug on mine seems to only have the thick all brown. Along with a tan and yellow I believe. Also I have found where to connect illumination from both the MOST and a general splice to vehicle but no illumination wire from HU? Anyone been able to find a detailed diagram for this particular HU? Only a few wires are physically labeled and the manual is vague at best. Lastly the foot brake and parking break seems to be a rough road. Looking in the specified locations resulted nothing promising. Under the parking brake I only found two wires, of the wrong color and behind the dash the loom is combined and impossible to determine. I would like to avoid pulling each wire and probing with a multimeter. usually I'm fairly competent and can do most things by way of word but this is kicking me while I'm down. I'll add that I'm not looking for navigation or cluster display or anything fancy. I would just like Bluetooth connectivity with the bose system (which is a settlement and a whole other story). Anybody have any direction for me? I would love the feeling of accomplishment doing this myself and would gladly share gratification and accreditation to anyone the wiser. I'd suggest getting in touch with Loi at Euromotorspeed. He's acknowledged as the man on this from everything I've read. Understand he's very helpful too. I'll be finding out one of these days.

POST 4Original post

I just did this with a 07 base W/bose and a pioneer 4100 over the weekend. Was super straight forward. The illumination light from your pioneer harness just goes to the orange wire on the most HUR. as far as the parking brake goes, I just bought the 13 dollar add on harness from amazon. super easy. The wiring diagram for the pioneer unit is in the owners manual. feel free and chime in with any other questions if you need to man.

POST 5Original post

Well I figured out that I don't have an owners manual with the HU. Not sure how that happened but I have one downloaded now, hopefully that helps. Thanks underlord. Name or link to the 13 dollar add on harness? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Here ya go! (sorry I was so late with this) https://www.amazon.com/MicroBypass-Parking-Automatic-Interface-AVH-4100NEX/dp/B00VKQ6ECQ

POST 7Original post

Thank you for this, better late than never. I left the wires near the sub to easily add this. In closing to my own problem, after finding a full manual on line I was able to finish the install. Only to find out the Head Unit doesn't work properly. After speaking the the retailer I found out it was a returned item. Luckily they swapped it out for another one and let me keep the harness I had already wired in. Easy going after that. Cheers! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

POST 8Original post

Sweet man, glad that worked out. While you have the sub out, be sure and stuff it full of poly batting (like from a crappy pillow) I read the good write up on it in the article section and it definitely improved bass response.

POST 9Original post

Already did that, I do confirm it's much better. Thank you for passing on the tip! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

POST 10Original post

and I also bought a Pioneer 4200nex, paid a mobile stereo shop $125 to come out and install it along with satellite. So, I didn't have any issues. I sat in a chair and drank a Mike's lemonade!!

POST 11Original post

I thought about paying mobile audio install but I get high off the satisfaction of doing stuff myself. Even the small things, not about the money savings. To each their own! I'd a had a whiskey on ice though! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
