Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used Hoen on my M3 which looked great and never had a problem with them.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just recently installed Hoen Xenonmatch and Chromiums. They look great, are cheap, and very easy to install. I used Hoen on my M3 which looked great and never had a problem with them.
Stock Fogs
Hoen Xenonmatch (almost perfect match in person - hard to see difference in pictures)
Hoen Chromium side bulb (where is it?
) small detail but looks awesome
Stock Bulb (a bit brighter)
Hoen Chromium (bright enough)
Order online at Hoen-usa.com
Fog: H11 Hoen 55W xenonmatch $29.99 pair
Side: W5W Hoen Chromium $19 pair
You can even search by car model on their website. Took about 3-4 days to get.
I'll dissent...
I also ordered the Hoen bulbs for the sidemarkers. I also ordered the bulbs for the taillights (I hope - Cayman STILL not here). My opinion is that they're not so great.
They come packaged in little baggies, and the silver coating on the bigger bulbs is clearly not thick enough. They look amber just sitting in my hand. Seems to me like a garage-operation with a bunch of bulbs, and a spray can of high-temp silver paint.
I had the Phillips Silvervisions on my BMW and they looked great, so I've ordered up a set of those in the meantime. Problem is, they're only available in Europe, so I've been waiting over a month and the shipping costs a fortune (I ordered two sets of marker and taillights since I was paying the shipping anyway).
There are a couple of issues. I'm not sure of the rear signal fitment. The bulbs were only available in PY21W with offset pins. I couldn't find if this was the right bulb or not, but it's relatively common on European cars, so I bought 'em.
Now, I DO know that the marker lights take a small wedge bulb (Commonly called W5W in NA). There was a "WY21W wedge type bulb" available, so I bought those too. I'm betting these bulbs are going to be at least somewhat standardized.
I guess we'll see when they get here. I'll report more when they actually show up.
Here's the link in the meantime:

crocrr... Sadly my BUILD date (which I finally know) is only Dec. 7.
However, the Silvervisions are only available in the one non-wedge size (that I am aware of so far). I'm pretty optomistic they'll fit. That's the PY21W size.
I use Sylvania Silverstar 7507ASTs for my rear turn signals. The bulbs themselves aren't chromed, but clear and are a bluish color. However, when lit they shine bright amber. You can get them here:

I honestly don't understand why so many people are concerned with the rear turn signal bulbs. What's wrong with the stock bulbs? Now if you're talking about matching the fogs to the bixenons that's understandable but seriously.
TC, it's just a matter of looks. Some people don't like the "egg yolk" look that amber bulbs in a clear silver housing look and would rather have the whole housing look clear:
Obviously, it's purely a personal preference.
My only concern about swapping out the fogs is that I believe they are always lit on low level as "running lights" with the headlights. In many localities you cannot run with foglights if I am not mistaken.
I've used the rear signal lights from by previous BMW, which I purchased from
www.bimmian.com
The quality of the bulbs are pretty good. Thus, I would suggest this place if you don't mind searching their web site by matching the model number / bulb type or you can just give them a call.
Sweet! This answers my question about the Silvervisions fitting (since I used them before in my BMW). Re: Bimmian, his bulbs are also 'homemade' from what I can tell.
DaveC, the fogs are not lit at a low level. I believe you are referring to the city lights (also within the same cluster as the fog light bulbs). If you do not like the city lights, simply remove the bulbs. Swapping the fog light bulbs will not affect your city lights at all.

Hi how to take change the turn signal lights inside the headlight housing? I can't find that in your articles. But they are very helpful. Thanks.
One more thing, is the Hoen H11 a xenon light. I recently upgraded to TechArt front bumper which does not come with xenon.
Hello Titanic.
The instructions for the front turn signals are indeed in my articles :
My Articles - Exterior Light Makeover - Part 2 - Powered by ReviewPost
Pertaining to the H11 bulb, it is not an HID bulb (which, I believe, is what you really mean by "Xenon"). Our HID bulbs are of the "D2S" type. The fog light housing on the cayman will not accept HID bulbs, unless they are rebased.
TechArt should have the information pertaining the correct bulbs to use with their bumper. Alternatively, take the bulb out and you might be able to identify it.
Does that help ?
