Suggestion

If so, I would love to see some photos I was thinking that in addition to the adding mesh screens to the side vents like when you dsnork, you could also use mesh on the two rear openings by the mufflers and possibly have them made for the front openings as well for the race look than anything else.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Has anyone had mesh screens added to the 'openings' in their CS? If so, I would love to see some photos I was thinking that in addition to the adding mesh screens to the side vents like when you dsnork, you could also use mesh on the two rear openings by the mufflers and possibly have them made for the front openings as well for the race look than anything else. POST 2Original post

I ordered mesh screens to cover the muffler openings on the rear bumper of my SY car. Got them thru Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, FL. Check out pictures at Brumos' website. Kind of pricey ($90.00 plus shipping) but look good.

POST 3Original post

Thanks I'll check the out. I wonder who would have them for the front and sides.

POST 4Original post

Can you provide a link??......couldn't seem to find them.......thanks......

POST 5Original post

yeah...i couldnt find them either...please link.

POST 6Original post

Web site is www.brumosporsche.com . I looked at it but could find no reference to mesh screens.

POST 7Original post

I couldn't find them either but I was at Kinetic Speed Shop in Buford, GA today http://www.kssmotorsports.com/home/home.aspx and they are going to price and build screens for my CS for the front, rear and sides and then make them available online. I will have them installed next week and will post pics. These guys really know their stuff on everything Porsche.

POST 8Original post

Here is the link: http://www.brumosporsche.com/fiveninedesign/images/index/index.html The inventory linkappears to be under construction. I would email or callBrumos parts department. I've seen the grills (both front and back)
on several of their cars and they do look very nice. <o ></o >
POST 9Original post

Do you have any pics?? Iam still contemplating whether to leave them stainless or to have them power coat them black..

POST 10Original post

Can you please ask them if they can ship the screens to Singapore?

POST 11Original post

Hey JohnB21 - Let us know when you get the front mesh screen. I am very intersted in this. As usual, any pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

POST 12Original post

I am getting it done Wednesday. I will put pics up hopefully that night. They are going to make them all products online so I am sure Singapo0re would be easy. Thoughts- leave them stainless or have them powder coated black??

POST 13Original post

black powder caoted. Also, count me in as very interested. Maybe a group buy?

POST 17Original post

Depending on look & finish, i m in for it. Thanks guys

POST 18Original post

These guys are top notch so finish will not be an issue.I may post a new thread to get this answer faster but does any one know if the center part of the factory front fascia actually serves a purpose? Some one told me it creates more downforce and others have said it is just a filler. I may have the black plastic filler removed and have a mesh put there as well.

POST 19Original post

This topic was brought up a while back, if i recall, that black center fascia cover is only for manual cars? While Tip cars do not have it, as the air going in will cool the trans??? If anyone remembers, please help on this.

POST 20Original post

Center 'vent' is functional site of transmission oil cooler on Tiptronic cars.

POST 21Original post

Mine is a 6-speed. I was just wondering if removing it will hurt, help, or do nothing or should the mesh screen just be put over it and leave the filler piece in place. It just looks so plain 'as is' and is screaming for something.

POST 22Original post

Like these.. http://www.racemeshgrilles.com/racemeshgallery.htm

POST 23Original post

my buisness partner bought screens for his 350Z and his C6 from them..and they look great. he hasnt had any issues with them. dont see any for the cayman yet...maybe soon.

POST 24Original post

I am having them made tommorrow and the company is doing these as the prototype and then will be selling them online. I will have pics up once they are done.

POST 25Original post

Are you having all the vent done? (rear, between the exhaust , front 3 intakes) ?
