Suggestion

I looked this up in Mitchel's online repair manual and was able to print and scan the instructions and 2 pics but it doesn't really explain this very well.

I removed mine on my 2000 BS by using the instructing posted here which won't be much different than what you are doing but wouldn't have anything to post here.

Hi All: I was one of those who purchased a carbon fibre side vent from Peter Rodgers (Prodgers) for my 1987 cayman . That was some years ago. Due to congestive heart failure I was taken off of my feet for several years and never had a chance to install the vents. Of course they never came with installation instructions. I spent the afternoon looking on all of the internet for instructions and the closest I came was a post you made years ago about how the instructions are in Planet 9's article section. Yet I could not find the article. I am stuck right now with unusable vents. Is there anyway you can assist me in finding the installation instructions. I see where Peter Rodgers has been banned and so he will be no help. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated especially from those who have before installed the carbon fibre vents

I removed mine on my 2000 BS by using the instructing posted here which won't be much different than what you are doing but wouldn't have anything to post here. You would probably need someone with a copy of those picture instructions to post them again. I remember having to ply the vent out. I looked this up in Mitchel's online repair manual and was able to print and scan the instructions and 2 pics but it doesn't really explain this very well. Better than nothing. I'll try posting the scan next .

thanks so much for your reply. But I do not have a problem removing the factory vents, as that has been done. I just do not know how to install these new aftermarket carbon fibre (PRODGERS) vents. The mountings are different from factory
