Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Having my 996TT X50 sorted at the mo with a dodgy MAF sensor etc - once thats done i was looking to have a remap done and was wondering what the concensus was regarding which Company give the best results - I will only be using the car on the road.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have had good experience with DMS in the past with my RS4 which they remapped
I'm now expert but thought that the X50 was a standard turbo which has been remapped by Porsche and then sold as the X50. So doing another remap will effectively 'undo' what Posrche have already done so not sure how much you would actually gain in the end (if anything) :dont know:
X50 has bigger turbos (K24 vs smaller standard K16`s?) and larger intercoolers as well as a remap i think so a better platform for additional tuning - so ive been informed
x-50 996tt gives between 450-470 bhp and about 570nm torque,
i am having mine remapped soon, and should be getting around 520bhp and 707nm torque.
I've just had mine done by Simon fron e-maps. Can't reccommend him enough, used him a few times now on my previous cars.

is his website. Tell him Graham sent you
Like I say, I'm just being picky:

It should be ME 5.2.2 for the 3.4 and 300bhp not 320.
It should be ME 5.2.2 for the 360bhp Mk 1 GT3.
The X50 TT is 462bhp in RoW models - USA cars are 450bhp.

I had mine live mapped on a 'private road' (better for accurate air flow) by MRC Tuning in Banbury - very highly recommend them, good reputation and have done my last few cars. :thumb:
I am a bit surprised at how many different smaller tuners there are that can remap ecu`s - I was initially thinking about DMS or Revo -suppose that as well as outright performance - the driveability and after sales support is important as well - only Company ive had experience with is DMS - they give a lifetime warranty and when my RS4 needed a new ECU - they came out free of charge and remapped it again - which i thought was spot on
I took mine to Paragon for some Revo treatment last year and have been very happy with it. No flatspots and still very easy to drive slowly around town.
