Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Before messing with the design I'd ask for some serious documented test results for things like:
Leading evidence: 'Test results' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Test results' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I spoke with www,alvodesigns.com and they said they would do a special price for anyone ordering a kit through caymanclub. basically if we order5 ktis or morethey will take $1000 off their price or 15% off their other products. If we get more, they said they might offer better.
Sorry, I dont know how to get a groupbuy going, but i guess we should find out if anyone's interested. anyone???
Kman, I also told them about this site, hopefully they will contact you to become a sponsor !
Would you do this if it significantlyreduced the extremely good aerodynamics and air routing designed into the Cayman? The current frontal area is designed to work in concert with the rear wing, reduce aerodynamic lifting and address the high volumes of cooling air required to cool the engine and brakes. Drag coefficent stock is .29 what does this add on result in? Before messing with the design I'd ask for some serious documented test results for things like:
<ul>
[*]lift coefficents and wheel load vs. stock
[*]Cooling of the brakes due to the Caymans high performance
[*]Efficient engine cooling vs stock
[/list]
Form over function choice? Current enjoyment vs future resale value? Just things to think about.
From

- looks like it is simply a flier for SEMA.
'The Basic Kit consists of front bumper, side skirts, and fog lights for $5,999.'
I didn't realize the graphic was the whole thing. Sorry about that - I'm sure that is over 800 pixels wide, so if a mod needs to kill it, I understand.
Anyone else besides me think that a front bumper, side skirts and fog lights ought to be a lot less than $6K??? My old GT3 bumper from Porsche was like $2k and sideskirts $1k and that's from Porsche! I concur this looks like someone reselling the TechART kit to me.
I was thinking the same thing, but I don't know how much Techart sells their parts for. I can't see how Techart's would be that much more, but if it is and someone really really really wants that look it might not be a bad deal?
All I can say is hmmmmm.......
That's fugly./fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbs_down.gif
I would be unwilling to 'mess' with the Cayman's finely tuned aerodynamics, and also add weight in the process...
that is the similar kit that Techart offer as their GT sport body kit.
the Techart's front kit cost around $3k but i'm not sure about the side skirts.
so the whole kit cost $4k with everything and painted? if there are 5 people interested in this group buy?
Too much money for what it is. Does it look like they block off the right side grill? Is that a good thing? /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/whatchutalkingabout_smile.gif
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The problem with these aftermarket look-a-like kits are that they are made of fiberglass instead of ABS plastic. A mold is created with the original Techart kit and reproduced with fiberglass. SO, you get problems with fitment and CRACKING (if you're not careful).
I don't have alot on me right now..
u seen:

rite?
or you can go to gallery > Member's Categories > StatiX
but i will post the pictures after the photo shoot session.. my friends are arranging a session and hes bringging some guy from San Diego to take the pictures..
TresX: yeah fiberglass are bad... but hey.. they are cheap (1/3 of the Techart's price).. why not just get the fake one.. and if the fake one is cracked.. we still have extra cash to buy 2 more new set... lol
On the other hand....
If we can get this company:

to make us the Techart bumper in carbon fiber.....for the same cost they are selling the 997 bumper....
