Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a questions and delimma......My rear Pirelli Asymetrics are toast and I need to replace....my fronts show an average of 6/32 according to my guage.....there is no great deviation.....inner edge is wearing fastest and is at 5/32....new they are 10/32....I need to check to see where wear indicators hit. I do want to change to Bridgestones as I want more wear life. But, should I go ahead and put a new set of Pirellies on the rear of the car and wear through them and throw all four out or change out all four and put them in the garage for the track? And, any suggestions on the Bridgestones? Will

POST 2Original post

Get a new set of Assymetricos. You probably go through the rear tires twice as fast as the front ones depending on your driving style. For me, I would not spend an additional 300-400 on front tires and mounting/balancing if I don't have to. I have put the Assymetricos on the track at Buttonwillow also and they're not that bad. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's were on sale at Tire Rack a while ago, not sure if they still are. From what I hear they are OEM on Ferraris for what its worth. Either or, chances are high that they are not N-rated and I know that is always a slippery slope here for pcar owners.

POST 3Original post

Clarification, get a new set of rears. Save the money and keep the fronts as-is if you can help it.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guess my question is, if I get just rears, do you think they will wear out about the same time as the fronts become shot.....how much life do I have left in the fronts....

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Called Pirelli USA....they said there was not much left in the front as they wear much faster once you get them worn down a little.......might have myself a set of track tires....anyone have some wheels they want to part with? Will
