Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

*CAREFULL* the trim will have the pull-cable still connected and a few electrical wires, these are all self explanitory to disconnect when you see them.
Leading evidence: 'Disconnect when you see them' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Disconnect when you see them' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. Great write up on card removal as I'm about to replace driver's door membrane :thumb:

As for the window *DO NOT* attemp adjustment, just the slightest turn on a screw and you'll wish you hadn't, it is VERY difficult to set these windows up without much experience.

Roll the duster and mask to the trim in such a way that when using the screwdriver to lever the cap out you are pressing on rolled duster and not leaving an imprint in the leather.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The passenger side door card is squeking quite badly every time when the car goes over a bump. What is the best way to illiminate it? Is there anything to be careful with when removing the door card?
Also, the passenger window is quite a bit slower moving and has a lot more resistance than the driver side one. I would realy appreciate it if any kind soul could share how and where to lubricate the window seals. Thank you.
cheers
Removing the door trim is pretty straight forward but there is one niggly bit to be aware of - you need to remove the little cap that says 'Air Bag' it is difficult to do without leaving marks on the trim. I use a fine flat ended electrical screwdriver and a duster. Roll the duster and mask to the trim in such a way that when using the screwdriver to lever the cap out you are pressing on rolled duster and not leaving an imprint in the leather. Be firm, they do come out. Maybe use a hair dryer and warm the leather around the cap as it will come out much much easier with supple leather.
Behind the cap is a hidden 5mm allen key bolt.
You need to take the facia off the door handle, do this by prizing apart underneath, that way slight marks will be hidden. There are 2 torx (T30 I think) under there.
Pull the lever as if you are trying to get out the car (the 2 finger one) there is a phillips behind that.
Remove the mirror backing by pulling towards you at the bottom of the triangle only, once base is unclipped it slides upward and off (the top is not a clip it is a slide down hook.)
Now, work your way at the base of the trim working the trim clips out, do this up both sides also.
Once trim feels loose, hold the base of trim about 6" away from door shell and give it a few hardish pats upwardly with the palm of your hand, this unhooks it at the top.
*CAREFULL* the trim will have the pull-cable still connected and a few electrical wires, these are all self explanitory to disconnect when you see them.
Once it is off, smear silicone grease or vasaline (you have plenty of that so I hear??
) all around the trim where it meets the door shell... trust me no more squeaks for years.
As for the window *DO NOT* attemp adjustment, just the slightest turn on a screw and you'll wish you hadn't, it is VERY difficult to set these windows up without much experience.
My advice would be WD40 obvious places, polish glass with a decent window cleaner and thats about it.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Lloyd
What Lloyd said - but don't forget the single plastic screw in the door pocket.
The area around the side airbag is a common place for rattles and squeaks.
Thanks Lloyd for the almost textbook (to me perfect) write up and the reminder Richard H.
I will try it next weekend when I have time and report back of the result.
cheers
