Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just had a major service and some small repairs to the car and noticed it was cleaner than when it was picked up. Fair enough but on closer inspection i have some wicked swirl marks , especially on the bonnet. I had waxed it about 3 weeks ago and all it needed was a gentle shampoo every now and then.... Ive since found an old letter about a reminder for "annual inspection" £128 gets you 30 pt check , fluid top up , tyre pressure check , make sure tyres are safe and legal , brake lining check , wash and vacuum. - all in an hour.... i have a feeling the major service included the above AND the free "wash" DONT DO IT. even a momo like myself can do all that stuff and i wont clean it with an oily rag.... :nooo: Next time i shall ask them to spend all the time vacuuming.

POST 2Original post

Always have them write on the job card 'DO NOT WASH' for this very reason.......

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

lesson learnt.... havent had time to do a full forensic. Hoping there isnt a serious scratch anywhere.

POST 4Original post

If it is really bad, you might want to call them and let them know to see if they will do anything although not sure how receptive they are to that TBH.

I'll call the OPC if theres a nasty surprise. Early next year im going to be soliciting the skills of G at elite , hopefully he can bring it up to new. -what do you suggest doing about stonechips? im collecting a nice collection and theres one in particular that bothers me on the bonnet.
