Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I took mine back three times before they fixed the problem by simply draining and recharging the system.

Can't speak for everyone, but IMO the amount of AC type problems with the Cayman given its complex AC design (mid-engine/front condenser, etc) have been relatively low. What type of problems have you had?....a little history might help.
Warranty work guidelines may be different in the UK, but here in the colonies dealers are supposed to continue trying to resolve such pre-existing problems under warranty. They know that your A/C problem existed while the car was under warranty, but couldn't, or didn't, fix it. Several of us here had A/C problems early on. I took mine back three times before they fixed the problem by simply draining and recharging the system.
I having the dealer look at my problem with the front windshield defroster. When I hit the switch, it not only doesn't defrost the front windshield but instead puts max heat and max fan into the cabin vents.
Anyone else experience this problem? I have an 08 CS.
I had A/C problems/fan control problems since the day I picked up my car this June. I brought the car in and they said there was a leaky seal. Didn't work, brought it in again and they swaped out the whole unit for a new one. Still didn't work. 3rd time is a charm. Lastly, they took apart the whole dash and it turned out that a smaller circuit board behind the main panel was defective in that a small prong was broken and was causing the fan control and a/c to work intermittently. I have not had a problem since.
Well for the defroster it does that but through the defrosting vents, think its a simple logic problem that can be traced with some trial and error! ________________________ "Sir! We're surrounded!" - "Excellent! We can shoot in any direction!" A good car will get you from point A to point B. A great car... will just get you into trouble!
