Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I just picked it up Monday after a clean PPI so I assume it is normal....noticed it from the first minute I left the shop that did the PPI, and supposedly they are the best in the area...let's hope it's normal huh?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My oil pressure gauge is jumping around a bit on my '02 with approx 10k miles on it. This is occuring both at throttle as well as idle. I don't remember this being the case previously. Please help; is this normal? Anything to be concerned about? Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Paul.

POST 2Original post

My 01 C2 with 33K miles does the same thing. I just picked it up Monday after a clean PPI so I assume it is normal....noticed it from the first minute I left the shop that did the PPI, and supposedly they are the best in the area...let's hope it's normal huh?

POST 3Original post

Slight "jumpiness" is normal at idle but I have never noticed "jumping" of any type under load with my 01.

POST 4Original post

My gauge is steady--rises and falls with rpm-I don't think jumpiness is normal!

POST 5Original post

That's what I was referring to myself...rises (to 4-4.5) and falls (to 1.5 or so) with RPM's.

POST 8Original post

Normal correct operation depending on temperature and viscosity of the oil.

POST 10Original post

Mine was jumpy on occassion and read high....4.5-5 bars from 2k rpm on up....the gauge is being replaced under warranty.
