996 pretty much stock, did some minor mods myself: Installed Fabspeed by-pass pipes, after market pedals, and a remote V-1 install but instead of hardwiring it like a lot of people I felt the remote display on the cig lighter was good enough for me.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys: I just picked up a cool little digital p/s camera so I thought I post some pics. 996 pretty much stock, did some minor mods myself: Installed Fabspeed by-pass pipes, after market pedals, and a remote V-1 install but instead of hardwiring it like a lot of people I felt the remote display on the cig lighter was good enough for me. Always washed and waxed with Klasse AIO and P21S Wax. Picked up a can of Griot's Carnauba this weekend and interested to see how that compares to the P21S...it smells better that's for sure. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Very nice car! Thanks for sharing the pics. What model year is you car?

POST 3Original post

Is that MC-Renn from NWA? Great music, and nice looking 996.

POST 4Original post

Nice and clean... where in Cali are you? So Cal? We need a nice "Winter" meet...before the temps in LA get below 70 and we have to break out the parkas and winter tires.

POST 5Original post

Poor little Californians... come out East, we'll show you some winter driving.

POST 6Original post

Yeah no thanks....I love that my "WINTER" driving is driving in some rain. Even then...So Cal peeps cant handle that and we get massive accidents all over the freeways.

POST 7Original post

I remember! One of the best accidents that I ever saw was on I-85 when I was driving home to San Jose... the traffic wasn't particularly bad (and the weather was poerfect!), but the Californian habit of lane weaving got the better of one guy and he took out all three lanes of traffic. Thankfully I saw all of it through my rear view mirror - I actually saw I car go up in the air on that one.

POST 8Original post

I saw one just like that in Burbank last week, that you?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm not that mc_renn...glad to hear there's someone on here who appreciates NWA...but I am straight out of Santa Monica. All of us so cal rennlisters should get together for a Malibu Canyon drive one of these weekends. What do you guy's think?

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hey sean. That wasn't me you saw in Burbank. The last time I was in Burbank was....man I don't even know.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tim-- It's a MY99. Solid car. It's at 92K miles and still running strong. I plan on selling it by the end of this year to upgrade to an 02 or 03 Turbo or a Ferrari 355....my brain tells me Turbo my heart tells me Ferrari. I'm actually going to test drive one, a 355, this weekend so we will see.
