Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I have a 2007 Boxster Base with 120k miles and since a few weeks ago every time the gas level in the tank drops below 50% the engine light lights up with this code: P0441 "Evaporative Emission Control System incorrect purge flow". Sometimes that is accompanied by a very strong gas smell inside the car (and outside, if garaged). That goes away after turning off the engine for a while. The engine feels normal and filling up the tank is as usual. Can anyone speculate on the culprit ?

POST 3Original post

I ordered one. Will report what happens. Thank you.

POST 4Original post

So far, so good. No CEL after driving an entire gas tank. Replacing the cap may have fixed the problem. Thank you.

POST 5Original post

Glad to hear that John! Sometimes is easy fix.
