I run PSS10 for high speed events and fast road geo and i woud reccomend them.

Full on Pss10, KW V3 or Ohlins is further than I was planning to go, but plans change so maybe.

Hi All,
Looking at options to replace my 996 turbo springs and dampers. Was reading 911 & Porsche work magazine and there's a short article about Koni Special Active dampers, which sound good. Are these available for the 996 turbo? If not, I was looking at Bilstein B8 and lower springs. Any info appreciated.

Yes, heard good things but thought they were significantly more expensive and I don't really need that amount of adjustment. Can dig a little deeper if they're worth it, though!
Or Ohlins road and track. I have these fitted, good on the road but a little soft at the front on a track.Quality dampers for a relatively budget price.

Still considering the Bilstein B8 damper route plus lower springs. My car is on 90k miles so the rationale for the change was to replace the worn out suspension but a slight upgrade is tempting. Full on Pss10, KW V3 or Ohlins is further than I was planning to go, but plans change so maybe. Anyone have any links to the cheapest retailer? I've checked D911 and eBay.
Mine came with Bilstein PSS10, a little firm for the poor roads around where I live. The damping is good. If my car was on original suspension, I'd be looking at the Ohlins R&T and Bilstein PSS10. I'd consider slightly lighter springs, as I mine is a road car and unlikely to see any tracks.
Needs to be setup properly, so budget for that and perhaps 997 top mounts and control arms as necessary.
I had PSS10s on mine which I found amazingly compliant/comfortable on the road, even on hard settings.
When I went to the Nurburgring I actually found them soft and woolly!
After a bit of advice I upgraded the anti roll bars and this transformed the handling and really complimented the Bilstiens.
I have heard that the Ohlins are very good :thumb:

Which ARB did you go? Adjustable?
I do find the front end a little floaty if it's bumpy or if I'm accelerating out of bumpy corners. I probably need to spend some time and money with Centre Gravity ...

I'll replace whatever parts with something better when I have an excuse and it could be a very flimsy excuse ;-)
