This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi Guys, I am considering the purchase of a lightly-used S Cabriolet, which will be my first Porsche, and I am looking at two cars: 1. 2009 6 sp manual, Arctic Silver, Black interior, 4,831 miles with PASM, Navigation, Universal Audio Interface, Bose, power seats, seat ventilation, heated seats, Bluetooth, self dimming mirrors. Asking price $75,950 2. 2011 6 sp manual, Meteor Grey, Black interior, 15,435 miles with PASM, Navigation, Infotainment, Bose, seat ventilation, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bi-Xenon headlights incl PDLS, comfort seats, heated seats, self dimming mirrors. Asking price $83,984 What are the pros and cons for buying each car, and what do you think would be a very good price for each? Depreciation considerations vis-a-vis a new base cabriolet would also be appreciated. Thanks

Both prices seem high; I got my (new) 2011 S cab in February for a little more than you've been quoted for the used 2011; and mine has PDK, full leather, Turbo II wheels but no nav. 15K miles for a 2011 is a bit high as well but offers a longer remaining warranty. In comparison, a 991 base cab will probaby be $20K more. Pluses: the top-up profile is much nicer on the 991 and the car has sufficient power since you're after a manual. Good luck; you will love any of them.
