Suspected cause

I sold the Cayman after 2 1/2 years and have had half a dozen cars since to quench my AADD (automotive attention deficit disorder) but the S was probably the only car I've ever owned that I regretted selling later.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Planet-9: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I was one of the early members of this forum back when it was THE place to be for the fledgling Cayman enthusiasts. Enjoyed all of the info I got back then and also met a few times with local fellow members. Even got to meet the founder on one of his Houston visits (remember Lupe Tortilla's Ken?). I sold the Cayman after 2 1/2 years and have had half a dozen cars since to quench my AADD (automotive attention deficit disorder) but the S was probably the only car I've ever owned that I regretted selling later. I always kept my eyes on the scene and market, and six weeks ago I sealed the deal on a late-year 2012 991 Carrera coupe. I wasn't really shopping, but the deal and most importantly the car made me come back to the Porsche fold. I think the 991 and the 981 series are the pinnacle (until the next generation at least) of current Porsche thinking and engineering. I've already driven around 2400 miles in it and love everything about my new car. I've been getting my forum fill in a couple of other places but would love to see more 991 content start blossoming here. Let me know if I can answer any questions about it to anyone who may be considering getting one.

POST 2Original post

Congratulations! Don't forget to post some pictures.

POST 3Original post

Welcome back and congratulations on your new acquisition! I have recently moved from a Cayman to a 997 Carrera; I certainly do enjoy my Carrera, but do miss the Cayman. If I had unlimited funds I'd own both.

POST 4Original post

Congrats. It'll be nice to have more 991 owners here for a more active discussion group.

POST 5Original post

I thought this place is still THE place for Cayman / Boxster discussion? :taunt: Yes I remember the tortillas thank you very much. I concur, it would be nice to have more 991 owners here, so feel free to bring your friends and start discussing in our 911 section.
