Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 01 Boxster instrument cluster does not work during cold weather. The gauges flicker on and off as it gets warmer and then stay on. This is only a problem during cold weather Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4cB7HQDAvo You could disconnect and re-seat the electrical connectors that transmit power and data to the cluster. While you have it apart you can check for visible problems such as water damage. Do you know whether anyone has removed the cluster?

POST 3Original post

The electrical harness connections to the cluster are notorious for getting brittle with age and breaking.
