Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hate to break it to you, but you also installed the bumper piece on the wrong side / upside down.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi there,
I installed my
Cayman
R stripes today, and the first one came out great. I made a mistake on the LHS one. I was not thinking, and wet the backing before peeling it off. This resulted in the paper peeling off, and sticking to the vinyl. Was able to scrape most of it off, but probably scraped off glue also. Many small bumps present under the vinyl. It pays to read the instructions before applying. Have sent an email off to the company that I purchased them from, and am hoping to only purchase a R door sticker. Have not heard back yet, but it has only been a few hours.
All in all not a hard project, and when done properly look great.
Cheers,
Ken
Looks great. When looking for a
Cayman
, I never gave a thought to the stripes. Accidentally bought a car with them and cant imagine the car without them.
I too installed these recently and love them!
I have a couple for sale after my project. I ordered 3 sets since I wasn't sure what they would look like in person.
If anyone is looking for light or dark grey ones:

Did mine awhile ago. I made a similar mistake and somehow got some of the wet backing stuck on the vinyl. It wasn't too bad so I decided to just go with it and stick it on anyway. It's still on there after so many years!!
I hope you get the extra piece you need.
Yes, I applied mine also. Does not look too bad, but I know I screwed up, and I am not sure how much glue is left on the vinyl. I don't want it to start peeling off in the near future. I also live in Australia, so getting it shipped here takes over a week. Just want it done properly, so I can relax about it. I am able to order just the side, and so this is in the process of it happening.
Cheers,
Ken

Looks great, I think that the stripes really bring the car together. I put some on a few years ago.
Now at night, you can't see them - so I had to get ghost logos (yep I am now a dork):
Yes this is the company I purchased mine from. I did not include the link in my original post, as they can not display a photo on their web site of the R decals. I did not want to cause them any more grief with the
Porsche
police.

I think carreradecals will not be in business for too much longer due to copyright issues, so get these stickers while you can. You won't find better deals anywhere!
