Found both rear engine mounts completely shot, replaced helped more.

But now it still has vib but has changed pitch to more of a tooth aching almost like a muffler is loose internally.

New to this but here goes. I have a 2000 996 with a Tiptronic. Just bought it a few months ago and love it. It has had a vibration and it is not at any particular RPM so much as when unloading slightly or even loading but not if you are loading it heavily. First consideration was four badly bent wheels, replaced all four with remans (factory Turbos 18") helped. Then swapped all four with a set of 17" off my other 996 (6 speed) helped. Found both rear engine mounts completely shot, replaced helped more. But now it still has vib but has changed pitch to more of a tooth aching almost like a muffler is loose internally. This car has 130k miles. I thought I would ask advice since nothing else strikes me as being obviously bad. I plan on dropping the rear cover and looking at the Transmission mounts later today Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My other car is so smooth with the 18" wheels it just makes this one seem like it has a problem
