Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Travelling from Toronto with 8 buddies dictates the use of the most vile of all automobiles.
Leading evidence: 'Use of the most vile of all automobiles' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I won't get to drive the 996 since we have to drop the kids and dog off at the in-laws which is half way. Looking forward to seeing some Porsche Cup Driving. It would be awesome if Scott Speed could get his first podium this weekend...won't hold my breath though.
I'm expecting a better USGP than last year.
Last year I went out on Saturday and had a blast watching Porsche Super Cup, as well as F1 qualifications. This year I think I'm going downtown for the Concours car show on the Circle:

Cord and Porsche are the featured marques; two of my favorites.
Also, I don't know if it's still possible to get in, but the Central Indiana Porsche club is hosting a dinner Saturday night with Vic Elford as speaker--should be pretty good.
And of course if you're visiting from out of town, you have to stop by St. Elmo's steakhouse. At the very least, get one of the famous shrimp cocktails at the bar.
Normally, I hope for sunny weather, but we haven't seen much wet racing in F1 this year, and it might be interesting to have a race on wet tires.
I'll be there in section H also. Not bringing the car, though. Travelling from Toronto with 8 buddies dictates the use of the most vile of all automobiles. Not one, but 2 minivans. Should be a decent race. I was in Montreal last weekend in Grandstand 11 (turn 1 & 2) and it was good. Too many people there and too much walking. Indy has much better access and people control options.
While I would love to see a wet race, we are camping, so I'm hoping this isn't the one!
Lastly, where do I go to see the concours?
CAF, thanks for the info I am going to check out the concours.
JJ if you click on Caf's link there is a map...looks like the center of town. Should make for a fun day.
I'll be in section B. See you guys there!
That's correct. The center of town is Monument Circle, which will be closed to traffic Saturday. The cars are on the circle, and spill over onto surrounding streets. I believe there will be appearances by Scott Speed and others (after qualifying, of course). Easy walking from there also to the aforementioned St. Elmo's and other restaurants on Illinois St. St. Elmo's would be a good place to hang out if it starts to rain. On the restaurant's website there's a map that shows both the restaurant and Monument Circle, which is where the Concours will be.

It would be awesome if Scott Speed could get his first podium this weekend...won't hold my breath though
I think that he would be delighted to be in the top ten. He neither has the car nor does he have the driving skills for a podium finish.
What a great weekend. I hope to post some pics soon, I had great seats in the Penthouse A section. The car show was great too, saw an awesome 59 RSK and some neat concept cars from Chrysler. Caf thanks for the referral on St. Elmo's...great filet.
Glad you enjoyed it. I also had a great weekend. The race was a little tame after the lap 1 accident, but just the sound of the F1 cars practicing their pit lane starts is worth the price of admission.
Christ, tell us how you really feel. I am an avid F1 fan and don't root for the fellow American either but I would never wish him to crash. Just asking for karma to come back and kick your @ss.
He's a very talented driver that would be much better with better team $$$ like the Renault or Ferrari's. I agree though, he would be better in an indy ride.
He may very well end up down that path (F1). Seems to be alot more talent in Marco than the overhyped Danica. Yes, I do root for Danica (since the wife roots for her) but come on, she really needs to put something on the board soon or the novelty will wear off.
It's certainly a possibility, but the IRL and its predominantly oval track racing is not the best path to F1.
Another legacy, Graham Rahal, is an even stronger possiblity for getting to F1 eventually. He's kicking butt on road courses and only 17. He's done real well in the Toyota Atlantic series and was racing his first Infiniti Pro Series race Saturday at Indy. It will be interesting to see how he develops.
