Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

There are special Porsche tools that are actually used for pulling down the car for a certain amount of time before an alignment can be done.
Leading evidence: 'Use pulling down the car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'weather will not allow' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Use pulling down the car' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

but I suspect the weather will not allow to take it out till Apr.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My local dealer finally got their
Cayman
, black basalt instead of the more normal artic silver. Since it was a different color than most, decided to shoot a few pics and put up a small gallery.Didn't want to drag a tripod into the dealers so all the shots are handheld anda couple are blurry due to slow shutter speed. Some are pretty sweet tho. I took a photo of the top where the slots are for the luggage rack that has been discussed. Shots ofboth trunkstoo.
My impression from sitting in it, the sport seats are very nice, more lateral support than my standard seats in my 987. The new leather smell was intoxicating. The interior is almost identical to my 987. The big thing I was hoping for was less of a blind spot to the right rear compared to 987, and it is less, but not much. The
Carrera
is much better in this regard. Here is a pic that I liked, too bad the front opening doesn't have a nice lookingmesh grill (only functional onTIP).
Here is a link to the gallery (yeah, I know, a couple of C4 997 Carrera pics are there too)

Amazing shoots! Love the angles! Do you mind if I borrow some of those pics for sketching some new angles? Because, you took the best angles of the
Cayman
I saw to date. Good work!
CF,
Thanks for the kind words. Help yourself to any of the shots you wish, thanks for asking. I should have cropped them but didn't really have time to work them over, these are straight out of the camera but resized for the web. If you need larger versions, shoot me an E-mail.
WOW! That's beautiful and I've heard the basalt is lower maitenance than regular black. If I could have two, I would get this
next
!!! (in other words I couldn't stand to wait months to reorder!!!!!)/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gif
I love the floor - reflections are something else. You can see under the car, without having to go under the car ( sorry about floor talk - I am looking at the options for my floor so I am drown to look at them ;-)) )
The pictures look very nice - Porsches photograph well, and
Cayman
has some great angles - my car will be here in Feb. or Mar. but I suspect the weather will not allow to take it out till Apr.
I ordered the 19 inch
carrera
S wheels, but after seeing these I might have just changed my mind. Since my car was a Nov. 2nd build I know they cant change it, but has anyone had any experience with dealers swapping out rims? I assume these were the same price as the
carrera
S wheels. If anyone has any input please let me know. Thanks for the great pics!!
Agreed on maintenance. The Basalt on my Cayanne is much lower maintenance than the standard black on my
Boxster
. But for this car - I prefer the non-metalic black.
Still no idea what colout I'd pick.

The pictures are just wonderful. I ordered a basalt black one. I'm so glad to see such beautiful basalt black pictures once again /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thanks.gif/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gif/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/dance.gif
Thanks,Jo
Great pics .... the third pic interests me from the ride height point of view.
There looks to be a chasm above the front wheels even on the the lovely
carrera
clasics (which I'm glad I ordered). I wonder if there is some ride height adjustment possible as this isn't close to some other pics I've seen ...
PASM
notwithstanding.
Given the factory suspension makeup I don't think there will be any room for adjustments.
I still contend that a bit of suspension settling will happen in the first few hundred miles. Porsche puts very hard bushings in most of its suspension joints and they need a little drive time to fully settle to their final ride height. In fact on more than a few Porsche models you can't align a car that has just been lifted off its wheels........it will be way out of spec. There are special Porsche tools that are actually used for pulling down the car for a certain amount of time before an alignment can be done. New Caymans have been bounced all over the place, on ships, had spacers in their springs, lifted for inspection, etc.......they will need to be driven a bit before final ride height is acheived.
There was alot of talk about
Carrera classics
not looking that good on a
Cayman
but I've never thought that and these pics kinda prove it. They look alot better on a
Cayman
than they do a 997 IMO.
I've gone for
Carrera
S but if I'd have seen these pics beforehand I might have changed my mind
Those pics confirm the reason I ordered Classics! The black is so pretty! Great shots, and just think how nice that tile floor would look in my garage!
