Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

The early 996s (RoW) aren't truly OBD2 compatible, but if the Snap-On too will read/reset OBD codes you should be OK.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My sons an apprentice auto electrician but works mainly on wagons & vans. I've just asked him what diagnostic scanner he uses and he told me it's a Snap On Solus. I know absolutly nothing about on board diagnostics but he tells me it should work with most manufacturers as it's comaptible with OBD, OBD2, EOBD for 16 pin vehicle Interfaces :dont know: Is this compatible for for my car to read and eraze the codes and where is the connector for this on my car?

POST 2Original post

It should be. The early 996s (RoW) aren't truly OBD2 compatible, but if the Snap-On too will read/reset OBD codes you should be OK. Later cars are EOBD compatible. The connector is on the passenger side in the footwell, on the underside of the dash.
