Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not your usual what tyre thread but for anyone looking for more information on top of what is in the FAQ section. This information would probably benefit the other model forums as well. Go to the www.porsche.com/usa website and choose the Personalization and Service link. In that section, click on the Porsche Service link then Tire and Wheel Approvals. They have information for ALL Porsche models there including wheel designs. Quite a good read if you are a bit of an anorak like me. Saved it all in my Porsche file on my computer! They don't seem to have this information if you click on the UK website. Same thing with the Continental tyre website where the Australian and USA sites have more technical information available.

Thanks Minnie from one anorak to another. Top marks for the Continental ContiSportContact2 that I've got fitted (not in this weather though!) :dont know:

POST 6Original post

They don't like the bridgestones much, do they!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I like the Continentals too for the price performance compromise. Always find the Pirellis poorer in the wet even on other cars. Michelins are great but I think the Continentals are close. They don't half wear quickly though.

POST 8Original post

Damn..... I was enjoying your reply until I reached the wear part! I've only just bought the car so I'm looking forward to some pretty exiting drives when the weather improves. There are some fantastic roads here in North Wales especially the loop from Bala to Trawsfynnyd to Dolgellau and back, about 50 miles. The drive from Bala to Traws is the best road i've ever driven and I know it like the back on my hand... hee hee  Hopefully the M030 suspension and these tyres should come in to their own on this type of driving.
