Guys Should you be able to change gear while in auto, using the buttons on the steering wheel? My mates boxster allows him to do so but mine doesn't, the buttons work fine in manual so they are working ok. Thanks Gary

They should work in auto too, if untouched for a few seconds it reverts to auto mode again.

Its only on the face lift models, which get the newer updated gearbox. Looking at your profile yours is a 99 model so has the old box and computer...
