Seal Grey is great also – it seems like a younger choice to me - but then I'm getting red (unless I do a change order) so who knows why people pick colors – but there is an older thread on that somewhere…

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 8Original post

Hey guys....sorry was not able to post anything on my original message, some kind of bug prevented me from typing in the box. Maybe is my old mac system. Anyway, hola to everyone, I am in South America and I have been looking to buy the Cayman S, and now its seems that I am finally ready to take the plunge (explain you why later). Your posts have been very helpul I may add, and I have norrowed down my choice to a seal grey with black int, w/options like tire press, park dist, porsche colored hubs, rear wiper, BOSE and a sport steering wheel leather. No full leather as it is too hot here. No PCM, and for that I can't get sport chrono pkg (there is an option w/o PCM but dealer says not possible? darn), and since I am not getting full leather, I can forget the sport seats option Another funny thing that I was looking at is the 5mm wheel spacers, dunno what that is...anyone? Is it worth it? These options can get a little addictive I tell you. What do you all think about the seal grey exterior color??? Would it look nice on the croc? Would it make it smaller (darker colors usually do that) Trust me it was a tough choice with the artic that I also like, but figured most would get the artic since its basically the display car in the brochure, and also the demo car here. Another painfull issue is that here we have to pay over 50% import luxury taxes on imports so the CAYMAN will cost me a whooping 100k. So amigos, lets keep the posts coming, hasta luego... COCODRILO

POST 9Original post

Hey Russ, So much for our struggle to speak spanish to Cocodrilo. This dude speaks perfect English. Oh well, we tried. /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wall.gif Hey Coco, how come you named you post Se habla Cayman?

POST 10Original post

Welcome Cocodrilo. I'm getting the seal gray on mine. I went with the black interior because IMO there isn't enough contrast if both are the same. I saw a Seal with Coco interior. It looks really good. I would have changed but it was too late. Edited by - AzCayman on 12/16/2005 5:02:26 PM

POST 11Original post

Cocodrilo, Welcome! It sounds like you have been doing your homework, and yes the options can drive you nuts! I finally got shut down on my options as my car was past the point of change. You just have to floow your heart and your pocketbook when it comes to options. kmns, I am laughing at both of us nuts! Well we tried! /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbsup.gif Aloha ha, Russ

POST 12Original post

Kmns, well English is my second language.....went to school in northeast.... But any of you that habla español, bienvenido. I am very exited about getting my cayman (my first P), looks like it will be built in Feb ( dealer had a lock on) and will be here around April. Cant wait!!!! The only thing that I am debating still is the exterior color..seal or artic.....damn what a hard choice......anyone willing to play devil's advocate?? Not into blue or yellow. Black or grey shadows for me. and definatley black interior. Its going to get dirty. Coco

POST 13Original post

Russ, I still can't stop laughing/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/teeth_smile.gif but it was fun. Coco, I would say that color is like beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder, if you comprende what I mean. With regards to options, I sure wish I had the benefit of all the posts I have read on this site when I was placing my order. If I had to do it over again I would consider additional options. Go with as much as you can afford and then add just a little bit more/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gif. You can never get too much of a good thing.

POST 14Original post

Coco, I would have to echo kmns' words, his last sentence says it all. There are several people here who have chosen Artic and Seal Gray, and I am willing to bet will chime in for you. Personally if I hadn't had so many black cars I would have chosen black without hesitation, but no matter what you choose you cannot make a bad choice, the car is just too beautiful and will wear any color and look fantastic. Good Luck, Russ

POST 15Original post

Well I also toyed with those two colorsand the other grey until I finally decided that because of the the enviroment that I live in Artic Silver would be easier to keep clean. So mine is Artic Silver with Cocoa interior. I'm hoping it will fit the old west look of where I live and be classy to boot. All are good.

POST 16Original post

Santa Fe - I think your color combo will look great, perhaps we need to have a 'trade your car for a day' program so that we can all truly experience these other color combinations. Seal Grey is great also – it seems like a younger choice to me - but then I'm getting red (unless I do a change order) so who knows why people pick colors – but there is an older thread on that somewhere… Edited by - K-Man-sculpture.net on 12/17/2005 01:12:05 AM
