Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'fair point' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'fair point' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Use 4s :lol' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My C4S has been in the garage under a cover having been replaced as a daily driver by my '07 Jag XKR in April this year. An unfortunate coming together between the Jag and a deer last week has rendered the Jag in need of major bodywork repairs, so the C4S has been pressed back into daily service (and what a snowy day to get back into it!)
I've fallen in love with the Porsche all over again. Nothing drives quite like a Porsche, and I'm struck by what a practical day to day car it is.
Despite being about 100bhp down on the Jag, its as if you can deploy each and every one of those hp's as you need to, and the steering feel and set up is in a different league. And I don't care what anyone says about a good auto/smg/pdk, there is nothing quite like snicking a gearstick about.
I'm now looking forward to next season, being able to get it all polished up after this and do some proper driving!
Anyone got other ideas about what I can do to keep the feeling going??
Go for a holiday drive here.....
San Bernardino Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2065 meters in the Swiss Alps connecting the towns of Hinterrhein and Misox. This road has its share of bends and hairpins but is more known for its scenic views and smooth roads. It also has a 6.6 km long tunnel but with a speed limit of 80km/h (50mph).
Funnily enough, when I started it up on sunday evening after its long period asleep under its dustcover, I did just crouch down behind it listening to it!
Hi Robert,
I've also got an ('09)XKR as well as the 996 so know exactly what you mean. I love the XKR as an all rounder (and it's sooooooo much faster than the Porsche) but it can't touch the 996 for steering feel and interaction. Unfortunately it does make the Porsche feel very dated inside but it's nice to jump into it and really drive the car. Feels so much more compact too which helps.
