As per title really, I'm in the process of buying my first porsche and am wondering if there is anyone near Sunderland who can reset an airbag light for me, the reason why it's on is that the kiddy seat activation bar has been removed by the present owner.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello all As per title really, I'm in the process of buying my first porsche and am wondering if there is anyone near Sunderland who can reset an airbag light for me, the reason why it's on is that the kiddy seat activation bar has been removed by the present owner. Thanks in advance Gary

POST 2Original post

Sorry, I don't know anyone in that area, but it will need more than just a reset to the airbag light. The airbag control module will need re-coding, so you will need to find someone with a Porsche tester, rather than a generic diagnostic tool. It's only a 5-minute job though. I'm sure someone else here can recommend a specialist.
