Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi Everyone, I'm looking to find this u-bolt exhaust bracket that is behind the rear mufflers on my car. When I went to my local dealership the parts department showed a hose type clamp in this location so I'm wondering if the previous owner changed out to this bracket type. I can't seem to find it anywhere online. I've attached pictures of both driver and passenger side brackets. Passenger side has a split. Appreciate any help!

POST 2Original post

This does not look like the stock exhaust setup, at least compared to my own 2007 987.1 . So I don't think you'll have any success trying to find the part in a Porsche catalog. Look around and see if you see any markings indicating the brand of exhaust .

POST 3Original post

Any muffler shop will have these. As well as pep boys, auto zone, or even Amazon . Measure your old clamp and replace. Universal (Walker) 2 bolt exhaust clamp. View attachment 286307

POST 4Original post

Per his 1st photo, it's not the u-bolt itself thats the issue, its the cracked bracket itself. Is that the PSE by chance? The design of the bracket looks "factory" styled. Per racergreg's suggestion, there may be a manufacturer tag or number on the mufflers which would be a good place to start when searching for a replacement bracket. Otherwise, find someone local that can fabricate a new bracket for you (it'd be pretty simple). Another option would be to send me your broken exhaust and brackets and I'll send you my perfectly functioning standard exhaust , bracketry AND clamps Cheers, Julian

POST 5Original post

Aah, now I see that clamp was part of the bracket. Wow, surprising they just welded the clamp to it. Easy to cut it off and reweld a new clamp on at any exhaust shop. Sent from my SM-G991W using Tapatalk

Found it - This came from Soul with the exhaust I had put on the car back in 2017. They're sending me new brackets free of charge. Fantastic service from Soul and thank you all for helping!
