Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Despite the fact that my 2011 Boxster had been recently "serviced", it appeared unlikely that the clutch and brake system had been bled, perhaps since new. Attempting to open and close the clutch bleed nipple with a hose attached to it was a bit challenging. A box-end wrench had little room to move. What I really needed was a socket, turned with a u-joint, but with room for a bleed hose. Necessity is the mother of invention. This is a 1/4" drive 11mm socket with enough of 2 sides milled away to allow a bleed tube to reside within. Porsche may have a special tool for this task. Next time will be much easier.

POST 2Original post

Looks like an O2 socket in a smaller size. i was able to use one of these to open and close the bleed valve. In combination with contorting my body in various ways. 🤣 FLZOSPER 3/8” Drive Metric Fractional Crowfoot Flare Nut Wrench, Fully Polished Ratcheting Crowfoot Wrench,Open End Crows Foot Wrench,Size 11mm - Amazon.com FLZOSPER 3/8” Drive Metric Fractional Crowfoot Flare Nut Wrench, Fully Polished Ratcheting Crowfoot Wrench,Open End Crows Foot Wrench,Size 11mm - Amazon.com www.amazon.com

POST 3Original post

A crowfoot was what I eventually used as well. It was painfully slow, and a bit frustrating to see the part so readily but not be able to get a tool on it. It did work, however. I'll have the car on a lift this spring and will test the new tool. All part of the fun of sports car ownership.
