Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, does anybody know if there is an easy fix for the Sat Nav CD player in the PCM1 unit. Keep's saying CD is upside down (it's not). Can easily live without it but it would nice to get it working? TIA.

POST 2Original post

c: c: c: c: c: is one suggestion! - i have the same problem with mine but it seems to sort itself out after the cars been running for 20mins + let me know if you find a solution!

POST 3Original post

The early CD nav drives can be very touchy about reading CDs if they get scratched or damaged. What you could try is using your PC to copy the CD to make a fresh copy of the nav disk, and use the copy in the nav drive. I have heard a few people say that it works.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Richard, that's one of the first things I tried but it still doesn't like the new cd I've got a feeling the motor is not turning as the disc comes out in the same position as it was entered. I'm now thinking of taking the CD Player out, opening it up and checking the motor...but I'm not quite brave enough to do that just yet !
