Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

holy smokes..what a royal pain in the $@$# that was. I wonder what the engeineers where thinking about when they designed that? I had to remove all the plastic covering underneath the car, then manage to slide the filter out from behind. Wanted to take a moment and thank toolpants and loren for a how-to on renntech. My next task is the spark plugs and I hear they are just as difficult..anyone have tips?

POST 2Original post

Did the fuel from the fuel filter run down your arm into your armpit? Get the right tools and it is not too bad. Wrong tools and spark plugs are a nightmare.

POST 3Original post

i think 02+ no longer have replaceable fuel filters. they are build into the tank. why are you changing your filter already? i thought plugs are easy on 996 NA.
