Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a spare set of K16 turbos that i'm planning to get refurb'd at a specialist (nothing crazy, just brought back to as-new so they will handle an increase in boost when i map the car). Current turbos have 80k miles on them and i dont want to risk a remap if i then kill them! If i buy all the K16 ancilliaries for a 996T - how much of a pain are turbos to change on a 996T? I'm being naive assuming its just an unbolt - remove old, fit new aren't I? lol EDIT - must require more than just this? https://www.turborebuild.co.uk/webs...-Calibra-Turbocharger-bearings-and-seals.html

I'm in the guts of this task myself. The pain you may experience all depends on how much corrosion has gotten to the fasteners you need to undo. Most of the nuts ive tackled no longer resemble nuts / bolts. On a side note, will you be selling a pair of turbos by any chance/
