Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone know if there is 3rd party custom Luggage that maximizes the strange deep box specifications of the Porsche 911's front trunk? I would like to take the 911 out for some nice road trips in the future. Its a shame that the most boring car is the one usually on long road trips. Thanks.

I'm not sure if you've already tried this, but the frunk swallows two dead standard wheeled carry-ons, with room down one side to stuff a small valise, light jackets and a few some small purchases. The custom suitcases that I've seen started at $400 and some went over $2k, with no better use of space than 2 good quality carry-ons. Be careful not to overpack the carry-ons or the extra thickness could interfere with the frunk lid. My wife and I can travel about 5-6 days this way. For a 2-week road trip, we each add a soft duffle bag in the back seat, plus the camera bag, her purse and a man's satchel for things like chargers, maps, trip guides, iPads, etc.

I am thinking about getting these: Interior - 997 - Porsche® Parts

POST 4Original post

The picture shows the bags on the back seat, not in the trunk.

POST 5Original post

Personally, I prefer boring cars like a minivan or SUV for a long road trip. It's just more comfortable. For a short weekend trip then I'll take the 911. Doesn't look like a backseat to me. You can fit a lot in a 911.

POST 6Original post

That's the 997 luggage. I was looking at 991 photo.
