Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think some have used a dual transducer/switch in the stock location from a 996 IIRC and a compatible gauge.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

On my 996's, I am able to push some button combinations on my A/C control head and get coolant temps and other things. Is there a similar option in the PCM ? On a side note, what is everyone's choice to read oil pressure? Will a Bluetooth OBD dongle provide that or is a stand alone gauge needed? New to the CS so learning as I go.

POST 2Original post

I've never heard of a secret service menu but that doesn't mean much. Could still be there. Try it. As to oil pressure the car only has a switch. You'll need to add a transducer and gauge. I think some have used a dual transducer/switch in the stock location from a 996 IIRC and a compatible gauge. Others have just added a transducer in the opposite head and a gauge. Try searching the 987 forum and articles section. Should be some info on it. Just not sure where right off. A lot of it probably applies to track recording but should be able to be adapted.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
