Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Perhaps you should check the circuit wiring on the right front side for a break in the wiring and harness.
Leading evidence: 'Check circuit wiring' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check circuit wiring' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suggestion
I doubt this issue crosses from the 996 normally aspirated to 996 Turbo but my ABS/PSM lights were coming on a couple of weeks ago and cleaning the MAF was the fix.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I never followed up exactly why a dirty MAF caused the ABS/PSM error, I just tried a tip someone on-line gave me and it worked.
Ok I have a 2002 turbo and the abs Psm light have been on for 2 years now can't find the problem. The code reads right front speed sensor, I buy a new one less then a mile lights come back on. So I swap the two fronts abs Psm come back on still reads right front speed sensor. Anybody else have this problem.
I have not encountered this problem on my vehicle. Perhaps you should check the circuit wiring on the right front side for a break in the wiring and harness.
Check your stop light switch and make sure you brake lights are working correctly.
You're turbo is awd.........the axle has a toothed ring which the sensor reads, I would suspect it isn't there or is damaged which is why it's showing a fault.
Was there ever any suspension/axle work done on that corner?

What I think though is that the MAF is in the circuit that PSM uses to cut back engine power. When the MAF is sending wonky signals, the PSM turns off, and it takes the ABS with it.
In my case the lights would come on a few minutes after a cold start, which is when the computer turns the MAF on. The MAF is not in the circuit for the first few minutes because the mixture is too rich.
Something like that anyway - fill in the blanks, or just forget about why and spray some electrical contact cleaner at the hot wire. Let it dry (blow some air on it) before you try running the car.
