This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have just had the Dension Gateway 500 fitted (by a local dealer) to my 2006 997, can you tell me if there is a way to see the artisit names when searching through, at the moment I only see 4/99 for example and thus I have to know which number corresponds to which artist (a bit of guess work). I was hoping to be able to scroll through A-Z........can anyone assist as the instruction pamphlet that it came with was rather basic. Thanks In addition The PCM in the car does support ID3 tags and plays mp3 CD's!

POST 2Original post

You wrote that the maximum number of tracks is 99. This means that the text mode is not set in your configuration. First check that the DIP swithces are set to Porsche PCM and not Porsche CDR. (You can easily check the actual car config on iPod screen at startup). If it was set correctly, then the textmode is wrong. Set the bypass switch 3 times on-off, then choose the track named "+PAGING" and then press and hold SeekFW on it. If the textmode is set correctly you should be able to browse through the whole content of the iPod on Disc 6.

POST 3Original post

Thanks for info, I can confirm the unit has the latest firmaware (2.11). In order to get the config menu (ie toggling the switch) should this be done with the iPod connected or disconnected? Any experience of not being able to get the config menu to appear?

POST 4Original post

It doesn't matter whether the iPod is connected or not. Toggling the switch in the right rythm is not easy, you can be too quick or too slow. If you are not succeeded, there is an other was to get into config menu: Switch to AUX GW mode and press and hold SeekFW for at least 10 seconds. When you release the button the Gateway should go to the Config mode.
