If you have the PCM unit, it will play mp3 CDs, otherwise, the regular CDR-24 will not. brad

You can install an ipod adapter. I use a dension gw500, but there are a few other vendors. I used it with a cdr24 until I replaced the cdr24 with a pcm. You could go that route as well ...

Thanks for the input! I do not have PCM or a CD changer, but have the Bose sounds package. If is would play MP3 CDs that would be great, but the manual does not mention it and I tried several times. Is there an Aux port on the back of the head unit that I can simply extend into the glove box or do I need to do the aftermarket iPod adapter thing...?

There is no simple aux port at this time. You will need to spend $500 on a dension unit, or you could pick up a pcm unit off of ebay for ~800 - ~1200. The pcm would give you the ability to play mp3 cds and change a few settings on your car. The CDR24 will not play mp3 cds as Beez advised above.
