Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Any rumors or speculation as to whether or not the 2009 facelift might include upgrades to the audio system and/or the PCM/NAV?

POST 2Original post

I have been browsing the Net big time looking for that same info and also talking to several dealers. So far nothing except for some spy photos of minor front/rear changes. The hint of direct injection and DSG are always there, but the dealers are downplaying this big time. I am buying my 2008 this weekend and intend to be blissfully happy Chris

POST 3Original post

I suspect we will see changes for MY09 on the PCM side of things: 1. 7" widescreen touchscreen 2. Bluetooth phone integration (as per Merc/BMW) 3. USB/iPod integration 4. DVD Audio playback The PCM2.1 unit is really a minor update of the PCM2.0 which has been around far too long so it's about time they caught the other German manufacturers up.

POST 4Original post

I heard DFI, DSG, 50 more hp and a Cayman GT6. Should I wait to place my order?

POST 5Original post

DFI will be there for sure. They've upped the base 911 by 20bhp and the S by 30bhp so there's scope to up the 987's power too. I guess they'd do 315bhp in the Cayman/Boxster S and 260bhp for the base models without too much trouble. The new 7 speed PDK transmission (think dual clutch, like VW's item) should bring performance and economy gains. The new PCM is what I'm looking forward to - proper Bluetooth phone, iPod and USB, as well as MP3 changer capability. Can't wait to see some marketing material...

Picture of NEW updated navigation.Black gloss finish with less buttons and more chrome 6.5 TOUCH SCREEN,VOICE COMMAND!

POST 7Original post

That's of a 911. We have no idea what is going to be in the Cayman. Lots of speculation but I have seen zero evidence to back up claims. Until I see something official announcing the changes for the Cayman and when, I will remain the skeptic.

POST 8Original post

Better quality picture of new 09 nav in 911.Draw your own conclusions in regards to Cayman!

POST 9Original post

Paddle shifter? Looking closely at the steering wheel, it appears there is a new aluminum section just inside the leather. Sort of shaped like a foot pedal? Hmmmmm....

POST 11Original post

Looks like a bunch of nice new options that will make me want to upgrade!

POST 12Original post

Make sure you go to Official GERMAN porsche web site where the new 911 range has just been posted. Lots of interesting goodies to see including pictures and trailers of NEW SEASON COLOURS,Nav,New carrera rims,Dynamic turning lights, etc etc. Might give some hints if and when a new cayman is released.

POST 13Original post
