Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Curious if i can source them off a 996 which might be easier to get or if anyone has a recommendation to find them new on there own or if maybe used from a different vehicle?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi everyone
I am looking to make a new engine harness for my 997 and would like to avoid cutting up the cars original engine harness
Curious if 996 and 997 connectors are the same? i just need the main connectors, the round locking connectors for the engine harness? Curious if i can source them off a 996 which might be easier to get or if anyone has a recommendation to find them new on there own or if maybe used from a different vehicle?
Any help/info would be appreciated
Thanks
They are the same. calmfmurhpy did it awhile back. The pinouts/wiring are not the same though.

Excellent - Thanks for finding and sharing that, i'll give it a read through.
No worries on the pin out difference, as long as the plugs are physically the same and they plug in, it'll work for me.
This is for a engine swap project so it'll all be reworked anyways - Link to project -
997 K24 Engine swap
If you're going to hack it up anyway, this one is available. It is missing some sensor connectors that I borrowed for other projects, but is otherwise intact. PM me an offer if you are interested.
I've uploaded a couple new videos of the progress so far - They are linked in this thread -
K997 Swap Thread
Whats the best way to let you guys know when there are updates, should i create a build thread in the 996 Forum?
