Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 1 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I would like to purchase a ducktail style wing, but can not find any companies which make it still. I know Porschemesh has gone out of business. It is for a 987.2 . Thanks

POST 2Original post

I've considered this as well. The Getty Design base for their wing is designed to look like a classic-style RS ducktail. There's no reason why you couldn't buy the base and then just not mount the GT3 -style wing...

POST 3Original post

I have a Fluid987 wing for sale. Does turn up nice like the ducktail. Sent PM

POST 5Original post

I have Fluids vents painted Arctic Silver for sale. Never used just been sitting on my desk. I have the mounting hardware as well.

POST 6Original post

You know we have a new sponsor (Precision Design) that took over where a prior sponsor left off and is making wings, side scoops, splitters etc. you might give them a call or send them an email.

POST 7Original post

We have this Rear Spoiler/Wing for sale which was sold here previously by another company as Ken said. Fits 987.1 and 987.2 Cayman 's with no modifications required to install. Available in Twill or Plain Weave Carbon Fiber, Black polished gelcoat, custom painted or for painting by purchaser. From Precision Design Plastics Dave Sodergren Rainier, WA USA [phone removed] [email removed]

POST 8Original post

how much? For a 987.1 in the gel coat black and do you have a pic of the black? as you can see I have a meteor grey metallic cayman s accented with black cents and strips. So not sure if I should do a black spoiler or go with the body color. but I do like the ducktail spoiler.

POST 9Original post

How much for 987.2 . Is there an option of regular vs XL? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 10Original post

I might also be interested in this wing for the 987.1 -- I've been looking for a ducktail-like option that mates onto the stock assembly. Do you have any pics of the car in-profile (from the side)?

POST 11Original post

PorscheInNOLA, These fit 987.1 and 987.2 (06-12). In black the cost is $ 520 .00 + Shipping which is typically under $40.00 in the continental US. Color matched Meteor Grey using top quality DuPont products would be $730.00 (possibly a little less) + shipping. I sent some photos privately. You could look around in the old thread and see if someone posted photos with theirs painted Meteor Grey. This is about the closet side view photo I have right now Dave

POST 12Original post

Jaundice, The Spoiler is the same for 987.1 and 987.2 Cayman ’s. For reference Side Vents are also the same however the Front Splitter is different. To simplify options and costs so they are not scattered throughout threads I will post current options with prices Saturday in my profile for the Rear Spoiler. Currently we only offer this size but plan to build an OEM sized Spoiler in 2016 manufactured in carbon fiber. Dave

POST 13Original post

CJFusco, I replied to the PM and will look and post a photo here if I have something. There are a lot of Planet 9 members with these Rear Spoilers so if any read this it would be great if you posted or linked some of those here. I will take a side profile picture this weekend and post it by Monday. Dave

POST 14Original post

I added a Rear Spoiler option/price list in the Rear Spoilers Album section of my profile. Dave

POST 15Original post

How do we see the option list? How do I find your profile section? I'm on tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ken, Thanks for the link, still learning my way around here. Great photo Walter, thanks for posting. I see you are in Washington, is this at Pacific Raceways? Have you been to The Ridge? Dave

POST 20Original post

I am also interested to know if there is an option between regular size and XL size like before? I wanted the regular size. The XL seems overboard. The XL was 6" wider than the regular one.

POST 21Original post

Hi agraner91, Currently we offer one style of Spoiler, same width as the OEM but its 6.8” front to back versus 3.75” for the OEM unit. I would estimate ours to be similar to “The Wing” in your photo. Available in two styles of carbon fiber, black gelcoat finish, painted to match your car or ready to prep and paint. No modifications required to install though alignment for clearance may be needed. POST 22Original post

Perfect I believe that is the one I want. When I get ready for one I will contact you!

POST 23Original post

Sounds good, just let me know and we will get one out for you. PorscheInNOLA posted a review and some great photos a couple days ago-here is a link http://www.planet-9.com/987-cayman-...d-boxster-modifications/114972-pdp-composites-ducktail-spoiler.html#post1005564 Dave

POST 24Original post

Hi Dave. I'm so glad that I discovered this thread! I have been on the hunt for a spoiler exactly like this for months and thought that I had missed my chance with all the previous makers having gone out of business. I have sent an email to you at [email removed] asking how I can go about ordering one of these spoilers as a part for painting from you. I live in the UK and I have a PayPal account. Cheers, Toby

POST 25Original post

Hi Toby, I just replied to your email a few minutes ago. I don't have a Spoiler for painting in stock today but one can be ready to ship next week. Thanks for the interest, Dave

POST 26Original post

I have one of their carbon fiber ones I would sell. Just sold the Cayman and took it off. Pm if interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 27Original post

Is this still for sale? If so how much do you want? Cheers

POST 29Original post

Anyone ever try using the boxster spyder wing on a cayman ? I think its a great looking ducktail, and keeps the OEM look.
