Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

On the opposite side of the dash is the knob to adjust the speed of your wipers.

Probably a breakers is your best bet, because I very much doubt Porsche will sell that small part separately.

My thinking is that I can use the 'dial' that surrounds the wiper adjuster knob to fill in that small 5mm gap between the USB charger and the dash.

I've not really got a lot of use for a cigarette lighter, so I've been looking to change it into something more useful.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've not really got a lot of use for a cigarette lighter, so I've been looking to change it into something more useful.
I exercised my Google-foo and found the 'worlds smallest in car USB charger', here:
http://www.mymemory.co.uk/Portable-...Traveller-MotorMonkey-In-Car-Portable-Charger
It arrived on Saturday, and it doesn't
quite
fit flush with the rest of the dash (if it did, it would've looked perfect), it sticks out proud by about 5mm
However, all is not lost. On the opposite side of the dash is the knob to adjust the speed of your wipers. This too sits proud by about 5mm. My thinking is that I can use the 'dial' that surrounds the wiper adjuster knob to fill in that small 5mm gap between the USB charger and the dash.
To see the knob I mean, look here (bottom right of the photo):

So, does anyone know where I can get hold of such a small part?!
Cheers!
Probably a breakers is your best bet, because I very much doubt Porsche will sell that small part separately.
People like Porsch-apart, Jasmine or Douglas Valley are recommended.
Well I've got my first price back from Porscheshop - near as damnitt £40 delivered.
Hopefully I'll get a better price from the breakers. Failing that I'll see if I can make something up myself. I'm not paying £40 for a small piece of plastic...
Hi Mike,
Huge thanks, one for pointing me somewhere cheaper, and two for having a look around to see if you also have one!
I'm sure I only need the rotating ring - so £40 seemed a little steep for a small circle of plastic
Many thanks again!
