Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, when I started my car this morning, It struggled, only just sprung to life. felt like the battery was almost flat. As I pulled away, the ABS and PSM came on, saying drive to workshop. (As I'd already done 20miles with the range at ---miles, I was looking for a petrol station first!!) Anyway, the lights went out, but could still be seen via check on the OBC. when I got home I pluged in my new toy...a Durametric cable... and pulled off the fault codes. I have: 4802 in the ABS section, and 9130 in the Cluster section. Both are undervoltage faults. Do you (we) think this was triggered by the almost dead battery at startup or should I actually 'drive to workshop' I haven't cleared the fault, I'll leave them on and wait to see what people say..... My feeling is to clear them and get a new battery, it's been struggling for a while after a few days idle. Any help, ideas, opinions please. thanks James.

POST 2Original post

could be just the fact the battery was low voltage that has triggered the fault to flash up.. generally on 996 tt it could be something as simple as the brake light switch or more commonly lately have been abs sensor.. i would clear the faults and charge the battery up and see if they return..

POST 3Original post

same fault I got the same fault this morning on my C4S, and it happened about 20 sec or so after starting the car. Think it was when I first touched the brake. Restarting the car cured it. Had this fault once before about a month ago. Mine has a new battery though.
