Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I can see the appeal in changing the colour of the car and being able to return it back to original when trends change, but am I right in thinking that the cost of the wrap would be the same price as a decent respray?
Leading evidence: 'Replace colour of the car and being able' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Let me start this story from the begining.
When I first met my girlfriend about 2 years ago I owned a nice Boxster 986. We went on a date and she mentioned her friends mother came into some money a couple of years back and treated herself to a new Porsche, when I asked which model she couldn't remember, thought it was a 944 but couldn't be sure just knew it was Greyish with a removable top? Thought it was odd as 944s are quite old and that didn't tie up with buying one a couple of years back brand new.
Anyway, cut a long story short we were at her friends moms house at the weekend and I thought i'd mention it in conversation, 'still got the Porsche?' I said. She replied, 'yes it is in the garage, go and have a look if you like, just through that door in the kitchen'.
I notice from the outside of the house the garage was huge, you could drive 3 cars side by side going in. Anyway, flicked on the light-switches and several flouresent tubes lit up this dream garage workshop. Parked by it's lonesome was this Porsche that the mrs had told me about. I was totally speechless and in love..... Liz Hurley could have been lying on a bed naked next to it and I wouldn't have noticed!
It is a Seal Grey C4S widebody cabrio with Cream leather sports seat that had Blue stitching (never seen this colour in a 996 before.. was it special order??) PSE, Sat-nav, the hood is Navy mohair, the hard-top was hanging a few feet above on a specially designed hoist. There was no expense spared buying this baby! It has done just over 10k miles from new and looks like the day it came out the showroom. Yellow calipers (which I assume looking at the discs they were ceramic as they looked 2-piece) I was so taken back I forgot to get a photo so now I need an excuse to go back and take some.
I asked whether it was a model in the showroom and she said no, she had taken the brochures home, ticked pretty much all the boxes and chose the colours herself. It was to shift some cash as her accountant had said she needed to spend a few thousands... wish I even had my own account!
I aim to get a few photos asap.
This has to be the most attractive 911 I have ever seen.

Unfortunately no, not exactly a head turner and I would think knocking late 50's although the car is so nice I could offer a ride for a ride!!
That is just how much I like the car.
Amazing what some will do isn't it.
I went to Birmingham Saturday night to an old regular of mine, any locals on here will know it well - Apre & Mechu bar / club.
This place attracts older men (like me) in hot cars & young hot... and I mean hot girls looking for sugar daddies.. it is so pretentious it is actually funny. Anyway, I was leaving early, walking back to my car there was 3 amazing lookers coming my way, as soon as I pressed the remote (ok I did do it so they could see.. who wouldn't) they commented 'very nice'
Don't know if they meant me, my car or my travel rug on the back seat but who cares... I felt on cloud nine

That reminds of the scene with Jim Carey and his neighbour in Yes Man (yes, the scene were she takes her teeth out).
I saw this on Pistonheads this morning and thought of this thread. I have read back and it is not exactly what you described Lloyd, but it is nice none the less. Not sure of the white wrap though, I think it looks better in black.

I have never seen the wraps up close, but I would imagine that you wouldn't get the same level of shine as with paint. Most of the early wrapped cars I had seen were matt black, so it was not really a problem.
Surely there can be no stone chips on the front end, otherwise they will show through? So not really an option for older cars?
