All,
I've decided to "pull the trigger" and get the AWE catback for my CS. However, I have not yet decided if I should get the AWE tips. I intent to replace the factory tips (don't like them) - has anyone purchased the AWE tips? Are they nicely made? Or should I consider the Tequipment dual tips from the boxster? I also have considered Boothe but at $500...
Thoughts welcomed! I'm pulling the trigger tomorrow.
Thanks!
MJB
I have the AWE tips and in my opinion they are 100 times better than the factory Tequipment tips not only in looks but in build quality as well. I'll shoot some pics of the install and put them up for you.
Thanks a lot for responding so quickly! I look forward to the pictures. I just hope I don't have to wait 2 months to get the "goodies" installed.

I've really grown fond of the unique stock CS tips so i would stick with those. Get them in Black Chrome from Ralph at Boothe Design for 120 bucks.
That's the nice thing with the AWE at least you have a choice. The AWE tips are also very nice themselves if you like that style.
The moment you change the tips ... everyone (well everyone who understands Caymans) know its not OEM anymore. Leaving OEM tips not only saves $500 or so but gives that "stealth" look
(at least stealth until you put your foot into it
) Just something to consider
MJB-
We hope to earn your business.
FYI, we have a 30 day money back if you don't like them....
Hope that helps with your decision.
(To date, nobody has returned a set.
)
Well, it's done. Today I placed the order for the AWE exhaust with Tips. Also ordered the EVO-M air intake. Hopefully it won't be long before the "goodies" arrive.
Thanks for your feedback.

I am considering these two mods myself. Would like to hear your impressions after the install.
Would also like to hear your impressions.
Mike, pm sent.
Who is the better AWE installer in So Cal?
Hey Guys,
I am getting an AWE exhaust, and I was just wondering who the better installer in So Cal? Speed Gallery or Wicked Motor Sports? Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
Caio,
Chaseman:burnout:
You can't go wrong with either shop. However, Speed Gallery does more Porsche work than Wicked.
Has anyone did the install themselves? I'm definitely mechanicly inclined, i've done tranny swaps in Evo's etc. so I was just wondering.
The stock tips are pretty stange looking... I'd go with the tips
Thanks Sharkster - I've ordered the whole system from AWE - including the tips.
