Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My RMS has been changed twice in the last 6 months yet I still have a leak when the engine oil is over half full.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The car has been sitting in the same spot for about a week or so. I moved her today and noticed a slight damp patch on the ground, about the size of a couple of 50pence peices. Had the RMS changed with the clutch mid last year and have covered around 5K since the new seal. Any ideas guys? :?

POST 2Original post

I have similar problem. My RMS has been changed twice in the last 6 months yet I still have a leak when the engine oil is over half full. If I let the oil level drop to minimum my oil leak stops :dont know: :dont know: :dont know: Ray

POST 3Original post

Me too! Clutch and RMS plus I/S housing seals changed 5K ago. Moved my 4S for the first time in a month (the longest its ever been stood in my ownership) this morning and a small patch of oil on the floor about 40mm in diameter right under where the RMS would weep oil. Oil level is full as was serviced in October and has done very little since then. I'm not too fussed about it, until it starts peeing out. It doesn't weep onto the garage floor at all when in regular use. Probably still weeps though, just that the residue is flung elsewhere whilst the car's on the move, hopefully not onto the clutch friction material...
