Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I have a 2002 996 and it currently has the Porsche telephone module in it which consists of a very dated handset and this links into the SatNav. Can anyone tell me whether this can be upgraded to a cradle to accept a mobile phone whilst still be as integrated as the current phone?? I have been reading many of the posts on this forum and if anyone will knows this it will be someone on this site... True Porsche oracles!! Any pointers would be greatfully appreciated. Many thanks Whalie

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Graham, Thanks very much! Had a look at their website and that is exactly what I'm after, maybe a couple of hundred pounds cheaper, but still I think it is worth it! Just one question... On the MoBridge site it says it supports 2003 onwards, am I okay also with a 2002 (52 plate) model? Thanks again, Whalie

POST 4Original post

All the mobridge will do is link your phone to the car remember if you'll still need to install a microphone etc foryour phone if you've tried the inbuilt phone with your sim card and been unimpressed it wont be any better with a mobridge there is dealer fit software package for PCM 3 which improves the phone performance but i'm not sure if theres one for PCM 2

POST 5Original post

What ever you do don't try and get it fitted on the cheap! :? I did first time and it doesn't pay. The most system must not be kinked when they loop the system up. Graham

POST 6Original post

Thats not stricktly true, The m0bridge unit makes the car fully bluetototh, so as soon as you get in the car you are linked up. Full phonebook aswell. The M0bridge unit has a Parrot chipset inside which is one of the market leaders in bluetooth technology. It totally links out the "inbuilt" phone of the car.
