Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

being that I buy and sell a lot of "parts" I am sure this is what happened too because the market for "used batteries" is HOT !!

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

OK, LAST battery question. Anyone know what size bolt is utilized to hold down the battery clamp? If you have been following along I just got car and swapped an Interstate MTP-93 (which was too big) for a DieHard Group 48 and i have the clamp but no bollt I guess the previous owner chucked it
So, anyonw know size and thread of this bolt? I would love to get it today rather than wait for STEALER to open tomorrow and have to go there.
Why do you call your dealer "STEALER?" Do you still call people who wear eyeglasses "four-eyes" and overweight people "fatty?"
I've always thought of name calling as childish behavior, not adult behavior.
Okay, rant over.
I just spent 2 hours researching this and here is what I came up with:
M8x20mm hex head
But really my 2 cents are also
On the bolt thing forget the 8x12 buy the 20mm, the 12mm is for 996 gt3 only.
On the importance of 8mm I would say forget about it.
8cm maybe
by the way sounds like the PO swapped the battery on you right before delivery if the bolt is missing....
OK, OK your guys are tough... I figured it out and went for the longer M8 x 20mm not that i am trying to over compensate for anything, LOL.
Thanks for the help the reason I ask here is because unless you live in Miami you just won't understand but the majority of people down here are 100% useless. You just can't count on anyone at a service counter, repair shop, etc.. giving you the correct answer and that is not just for cars. Same holds true for electronics, retail, computer shops, stereo. Hell even gun shops. It is horrible no one down here seems to care or take pride in what the do they just regurgitate what they "heard" as fact.
Anyway, yea took it for a drive got the battery and the bolt installed. Hot as the surface of the sun down here today. Throwing new tires on it tomorrow Hankooks and I'll try and get some pics up later tonight.
I really do appreciate the help.
well, if he just replaced it. "just a week ago" and still had the old one or (return to wal mart) "his buddies" went dead.
People are weird about stuff like that.. It is just kinda odd Ed, the battery is dead AND the bolt is missing.
Nah, I knew it was giving an issue but STEALER wanted $300+ for a new Porsche certified one. So, I just figured since car was sitting a few weeks it would come back with a charge and or jump. Did not expect it to be dead as in can't hold a charge dead. Anyway, after all the parts and knowledge was gathered I swapped it myself and learned a little bit about my new Porsche's "quirks" for $130.00 and 10 minutes wrenching and yes that price included the new bolt
Oh and VGM911 I call them STEALERS becasue that is what they do! Prey on people who don't know and rip them off. Don't believe me try one in anywhere in South Florida. Not limited to Porsche my two local Mercedes dealers are probably even worse. Don't believe well don't take my word for it feel free to shop them and see what you think.
just so I am ready... how many threads do you think THAT will take
