Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

So I went ahead and ordered a coil pack (best price is $39 here at PP) and replaced it - today as a matter of fact.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

When I went to do this it seemed like the connector to the coil pack was loose so I made sure it was seated in the socket, cleared my codes and everything was fine for a month and then when we had a hard rain, the problem came back.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 199-996 and need help with the following engine codes. P0301 P1313 any suggestions? thanks...

POST 2Original post

P0301 - Misfire, Cylinder 1, Damaging to Catalytic Converter P0313 - Misfire, cylinder 1 emission relevant I also have a '99 and I just had this issue - and a few others. Anyhow, it was suggested that I swap the #1 coil pack with #3 (it's the easiest to get to) , clear the codes and see if the codes follow the coil pack. When I went to do this it seemed like the connector to the coil pack was loose so I made sure it was seated in the socket, cleared my codes and everything was fine for a month and then when we had a hard rain, the problem came back. It seems that high humidity or moisture can cause them to short out if they are compromised in any way. So I went ahead and ordered a coil pack (best price is $39 here at PP) and replaced it - today as a matter of fact. Looking at the old one, it was cracked in several places, so even though I have yet to drive the car beyond my driveway, I'm confident that this was the issue based on all the symptoms and the part I took out. Good luck.
